Be READY to start off right with keeping your supplies/Investments, neat, and properly ORGANIZED!!
Trust me; you will thank me later if you start off right from the very start this way.
Stick to one area of a craft at a time... BUY ONLY WHAT YOU NEED AND WILL USE!
ALWAYS TRAIN YOURSELF TO INSTANTLY have the proper storage, and organizational plan for your purchases!
Don't buy more than the time you have to put it all away.
Make a 3 mth room check. Make sure your not in complete chaos.
Do a Clean sweep in your room, and donate, sell....RAK...what you know you either have too much of or just won't be using.
NEVER take on your WHOLE crafty space all at once!!! You will be in a corner crying when you look at it blown up all over your home!
Areas at a time...3 boxes... For each area... Label 1, 2, 3..
Box 1. Put all you TRULY USE in ( if some of that is OVER THERE...or UNDER THAT...get it because you want all of that category together)
Box 2. Put just new things of that category into that box
Box 3. Put older...never used, used once....what was I THINKING...etc...kind of stuff into it.
Remove box 3 from the room, out of the way for now!
Clean that space. Return box 1 things to its home... (If new storage etc..now is the time to make the switch).
Box 2, see if you can figure out how much you spent on that stuff you've had, and haven't used still.
Think, how long have I Had this, and why did I get it? See if the amount you spent was really worth it to just sit there being forgot about..
DON'T BUY THINGS BECAUSE YOU SEEN CREATIVE MARYS HAUL, AND YOU JUST HAD TO RUN OUT FOR IT TOO...
THINK...DO I NEED IT? WHEN WILL I USE IT? WHERE WILL I PUT IT? WHY DID I WANT IT?
Use that cash on what you truly need at the time. If you do not need anything... BE HAPPY! If you need to spend...how is your storage working out? We all can use upgraded storage!
DO THIS TO WHOLE ROOM! Reuse box 1 and 2 but you will need a new box 3 for each area.
When your done.... Everything is clean and has a home.... Go get box 3. See how you feel now with adding that back into your nice, clean, organized space!!
Give it a few days or so before you bring out those box #3's... Get use to your clean, organized space first...
